Alex Hughes is an attorney who primarily focuses on litigation matters. Although Alex is always prepared to pursue his clients’ interests in the courtroom, he realizes that a hard-fought court battle does not always represent the most efficient way of achieving his clients’ goals. That being the case, Alex makes a point to understand his clients’ objectives from the initial consultation and crafts a plan best suited to achieving those objectives.
Immediately prior to joining Stouffer Legal, Alex served as a law clerk to Judge Mickey J. Norman in the Circuit Court for Baltimore County. Alex was directly involved in the disposition of civil, criminal, and administrative proceedings, and gained a wealth of litigation experience by being in the courtroom on a daily basis. During law school, Alex also represented disabled veterans before the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he fought to obtain disability compensation for those who were injured while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Alex is a member of the American Bar Association’s Litigation and Criminal Justice Section, the Maryland State Bar Association’s Litigation Section, and the Baltimore County Bar Association’s Litigation Section.
Alex received his law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law, with highest honors, where he was a member of the University of Baltimore Law Review and team captain of the J. Braxton Craven Moot Court team. Prior to attending law school, Alex received his B.S. from Towson University, with honors.
Alex is a lifelong Baltimore County resident and graduate of Baltimore Lutheran School (now Concordia Preparatory School). He resides in Towson with his fiancée, a Baltimore County Public School teacher. In his spare time, you will find Alex off-roading in Arizona, attending auto races throughout the country, or taking in an Orioles game at Camden Yards.
